Through creating meaningful relationships with teams, our experienced coaches and counselors help to create and cultivate a culture of emotional health where rest and wholeness are pursued. This understanding results in an increased capacity to be known and to love others well, ultimately resulting in a healthy, thriving organization.

FAQs
Who do you typically work with?
At TRI, we collaborate with churches and Christian organizations that are committed to the well-being of their staff, employees, and the communities they serve. Our partners share a vision of fostering healthy teams who serve from a foundation of rest, wholeness, and emotional health.
What services do you provide?
TRI conducts a thorough assessment of each partnering organization and develops a customized, one-year proposal to address their specific needs. Our core services include workshops and trainings, group facilitation, and individual counseling sessions with our team of professional counselors.
How long is a typical relationship with one of your partners?
A typical TRI partnership lasts three years. Although we reassess annually, we are committed to the intentional, relational work that only develops over time. In the first year, we focus on foundational principles. The second year is dedicated to applying those principles for further personal growth, and in the third year, we support the organization in using these principles to love and serve others more effectively.
What People Are Saying
“Thank you! Your willingness to love RUF via TRI is making an impact far greater than we ever hoped or dreamed. So grateful for you and this friendship!”
— Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), Director of Campus Staff
“To be able to say to prospective Fellows that they will receive 9+ sessions with a licensed Christian Counselor has spoken loudly to our care for the Fellows’ emotional, physical, and spiritual health. The fact that each Fellow has a counselor that they can be completely honest and transparent with, with total confidentiality, has contributed greatly to the Fellows’ experience. I have heard numerous times a Fellow exclaim, ‘I can’t wait to talk to my counselor.’ I believe it not only benefits the Fellow during the 9 months but could have a much longer impact and it removes the stigma of having to be in ‘crisis’ to go to counseling.”
— The Orlando Fellows, Director
“Counselors at The Rest Initiative provided an invaluable service to me and my staff over the past several years. I was the Executive Director of an organization involved in challenging international work. They made themselves available to be consistent listeners and care for us especially during stressful times. As a leader, I felt confident because TRI was helping me do all I could to support my staff and increase their resilience. They also helped me think through and create a structure within our HR process for member care from on-boarding through return home. Thank you, TRI for your contribution to our positive impact around the world!”
