Cary Smith M.A. Mdiv. LMHC
I’m Cary Smith and I have been working with TRI for four years. I love supporting folks in ministry.
I graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and have a private practice www.caryjsmith.com.
I’m licensed in Florida and Missouri. I've done extensive training related to trauma recovery and dissociative identity disorder. I'm in the process of becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Levels I and II. I especially enjoy working with those serving in Christian ministry.
My wife, Annalisa, and I have a 3.5 year old daughter named Charissa. Our family loves the outdoors. We're into backyard gardening and composting. We often watch bunnies in our yard, hold fireflies, and relocate any earthworms we find to the garden. My daughter loves to climb and swing, so we spend a lot of time at parks with playgrounds. We love spending time around water, but that was easier in Florida than it is in Missouri. We occasionally get out and enjoy different types of Asian-inspired cuisine. I feel most alive when I'm laughing with my family, deepening others' understanding of scripture, or helping those serving in ministry. I would love to travel to Colorado or the Appalachians. My favorite childhood book is The Hobbit.
I’ve been part of many types of churches and Christian groups, but we're currently part of a church affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
