Micah Sullivan MA LMHCA

My name is Micah Sullivan and I have been working with TRI about a year. From my own prior experience as a leader and executive in the business world without good support, I relate deeply with the pressures, burnout, depression, loneliness, shame, and confusion that often exists for those in the positions of leading and serving. I get to work with many of these clients with TRI, and I love to help them expand insight, strengthen internal relationships, deepen their roots, and grow loving acceptance for themselves.

I attended The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and have a certificate from the Allender Center in Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level 1. My counseling focus is on anxiety, grief, stress and burnout, sexuality, toxic masculinity, spiritual abuse, trauma and PTSD, and couples counseling. I especially enjoy working with young adult females, middle aged males, those seeking insight into internal complexity, and leaders and executives.

I am currently licensed in North Carolina and I have a private practice called Cultivate Counseling & Consultation. I have a Psychology Today listing as well.

I am married to fellow TRI counselor Laura Sullivan, and we have three lovely adolescent-aged children and a sweet dog. For fun, I enjoy outdoor adventuring, traveling, cooking, exploring local food, and Qigong. I feel most alive when I am deeply connected both within myself and to whomever and whatever is around me. Also, when climbing a mountain or just wrapping up a Qigong session. I would love to travel to Scandinavia, Japan, the Alps … there is a long list! My favorite childhood movies was Disney's Robin Hood and The Princess Bride. My favorite books were Sherlock Holmes and The Hardy Boys.

Spiritually, we have an eclectic mix of home-church, micro-church, non-denominational.
