Laura Sullivan MA LMHCA
I am Laura Sullivan and I have been working with TRI for about a year. I wanted to support people in ministry and help bring more holistic care into the church. Working with TRI has been wonderful because the clients are so willing to dive in and the team is so supportive.
I attended The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology for graduate school and I have the Allender Center's Narrative Focused Trauma Care Certificate. Currently licensed in North Carolina, I have a private practice called Rooted Counseling, and I enjoy working with anyone who is reflective and curious.
I live with my husband, Micah Sullivan (also a TRI counselor), my three kids, Ella (13), Tate (11), and Hope (9), and our little dog, Annie. I love the quirky vibes, good food, outdoor fun, and beautiful scenery of our home in Asheville, NC. For fun, I love reading, hiking, gathering around food, and sometimes painting/drawing/designing. I feel most alive when I can slow myself down enough to savor beauty. I would love to travel all over Europe and south and central America. As a child, I loved the book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as well as Disney's The Sword and The Stone, and Robin Hood.
Spiritually, I grew up Methodist and joined a home church in college. Since then I have been part of a few non-denominational groups.
