Fritz Schalmo M.A. Mdiv. LMHC
I’m Fritz Schalmo and I’ve been with TRI since the first first day with RUF eight years ago! Having worked in ministry in some capacity for 20 years, I love getting the opportunity to encourage, support and walk alongside those who are in the midst of the work of carrying for souls.
I graduated from RTS Orlando and am licensed in Florida. I have a private practice and my counseling focus is on grief; children of borderline parents; marriage issues; ministry dynamics and transitions; spirituality/faith/deconstruction/reconstruction.
I recently celebrated 20 years with my wife Barbie and we have two kids, Jack and Ellie. I enjoy cooking, watching movies, spending time with my kids, and exploring new places. I feel alive when I see joy in my kids, have heart connections over a tasty beverage, and can get lost in beauty. I want to travel anywhere and everywhere. My favorite books as a child were Call of the Wild and Cry, the Beloved Country. My favorite movies as a child were Annie and Space Balls, and in high school I loved Tommy Boy, So I Married an Axe Murderer, and Braveheart.
Was raised a Christian mutt that was trained to be a good moralistic therapeutic deist but met Jesus in high school and was firmly pca from then until 2016 when I migrated to the episcopal church.” Contact me at fritzschalmo@gmail.com or at 423-309-2460 (EST).
