Stacy Walden M.A. LPC
I’m Stacy Walden and I’ve been working with TRI since July of 2022. Having been in some form of ministry over the last 30 years, I know some of the realities, roadblocks, and tenderness associated with it, and have benefited from the care, support, and input of others along the way. I enjoy hearing others experiences and providing a place for them to explore and consider their own stories. I graduated from RTS Orlando and I am licensed in South Carolina.
I have a private practice called Walden Counseling Services, LLC and my counseling focus is developmental trauma, anxiety, grief and loss. Trained in EMDR, I especially enjoy working with all types of women—stay at home moms, professionals, college students and young adults and empty nesters.
My husband and I moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 2007 to plant a church. The last 16 years have been really hard and really rewarding, both of which has contributed to a community we love. We have been married 22 years and have three sons - (almost) 21, 18, and (almost) 17.
For fun, I love gardening, walking my neighborhood, and hanging out with my husband on our front porch. I feel most alive when I’m walking in the woods with my family. If I could travel anywhere it would be to Banff in Alberta. I'm a child of the 70's/80's so anything by Judy Blume always topped my book list as a child. My favorite movie in my teens was Breakfast Club.
Spiritually, I grew up culturally Christian in a Methodist church and came to faith in Jesus at 23 and joined a Presbyterian church. My husband is a pastor in the EFCA which means that is now my denomination.
